Wyng is committed to providing a platform that enables the creation of web experiences accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or disability. We continually work to improve the accessibility and usability of experiences built with Wyng, in alignment with recognized global standards and guidelines.
Our goal is to equip clients with the tools to build web experiences that confirm to Level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These technical guidelines make web content more accessible to people with disabilities.
While WCAG 2.1 is voluntary global standard, it is legally mandated in certain circumstances. Within the European Union, the European Accessibility Act (EAA) – a binding directive enforced as of June 2025– requires compliance with WCAG 2.1 Level AA for websites and mobile apps.
The Wyng platform adheres to W3C standards for HTML and CSS. As a result, experiences built with Wyng render reliably in modern browsers and remain compatible as browser and assistive technologies evolve.
Compliance with WCAG 2.1 is a shared responsibility between Wyng and our users. Wyng provides the tools and flexibility needed to build compliant experiences, while users have sole responsibility for ensuring their creative decisions, content, and customizations comply. Wyng does not review or validate user decisions and content for compliance.
A summary of responsibilities include:
Although we strive to support accessibility across our platform, full compliance in every use case may not be feasible. We are committed to identifying and addressing gaps, and evolving our platform as new solutions and standards emerge.
If you encounter any challenges creating accessible web experiences using Wyng, please contact us at support@wyng.com for assistance.
