Wyng is committed to providing a platform that enables the creation of web experiences accessible to the broadest possible audience, regardless of technology or disability. We are actively working to increase the accessibility and usability of experiences built with the Wyng platform, aligning with recognized industry standards and guidelines.
We aim to give our clients the tools necessary to build web experiences that confirm to level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines define best practices for making web content more accessible to people with disabilities, and adherence to them improves usability for all people.
The Wyng platform adheres to W3C standards for HTML and CSS. As a result, web experiences built using Wyng will render correctly in modern browsers and maintain compatibility as browser and screen reader technology evolves.
Achieving WCAG compliance is a shared responsibility between Wyng and our users. While Wyng is fully committed to providing the tools and flexibility needed to achieve accessible design, users are responsible for ensuring that their content, creative decisions, and customizations align with WCAG 2.1 guidelines.
Users who choose to include custom HTML or CSS code within their web experiences should ensure that this code conforms to W3C accessibility standards. Wyng does not review or validate custom code added to user’s web experiences.
Although Wyng strives to support accessibility across all aspects and capabilities of our platform, full compliance in every scenario is not always feasible. We are committed to identifying gaps, implementing improvements, and updating our platform to better support accessibility as new solutions and standards emerge.
If you encounter any challenges creating accessible web experiences using Wyng, please contact us at support@wyng.com for assistance.
